FAQ
Is the platform HIPAA compliant?
The architecture is HIPAA-ready (audit logs, RBAC, encryption at rest, TLS 1.3). BAA-gated features — which require Business Associate Agreements with subprocessors like Supabase, OpenAI, Anthropic, and Twilio — are rolled out in phase 2. For urgent US deployments we also offer a plug-in model where PHI lives in a partner EHR API (Medplum, Canvas Medical, DrChrono, Athenahealth) that is already HIPAA-covered, and Intellovate Health provides the workflow/UX layer.
Do we own our data?
Yes. You own all data in your deployment. Full export (JSON, CSV, SQL dumps) is available at any time, no fees. At the Command Center tier you get full source code access — fork it, audit it, extend it.
What does a typical implementation look like?
Accelerator tier: 3-6 weeks from kickoff to go-live. Discovery → configuration → data migration → staff training → go-live → 180-day support window. Command Center tier: 6-12 weeks, depending on vertical module complexity (IH-HomeHealth with OASIS-E takes longer than IH-Chiro).
How is this different from Epic, Kareo, or Athenahealth?
Epic is built for hospital systems and priced accordingly. Kareo is cheap SaaS with zero customization. Athena is mid-market with a generic workflow and long sales cycles. Intellovate Health is the missing middle: enterprise-grade architecture, per-customer configuration, transparent custom scoping, and you own the deployment.
How much does it cost?
We don't publish fixed prices because we refuse to anchor you on a number that doesn't reflect your actual build. US healthcare deployments carry real compliance, integration, and implementation complexity — a solo-chiro cash-pay clinic is a different engagement from a multi-location Medicare-certified home health agency. On the scoping call we walk through the drivers (vertical, compliance posture, integrations, scale, ongoing support), give you a fixed quote, and tell you honestly if we're the right fit. If the scope is tight we'll say so; if it's outside our wheelhouse we'll point you to a better option.
Can you migrate our existing patient data?
Yes. Data migration from prior systems (eClinicalWorks, Kareo, DrChrono, Epic, custom spreadsheets) is included at the Accelerator and Command Center tiers. We handle the ETL, the schema mapping, and the reconciliation.
What happens if I outgrow the platform?
At Command Center tier you have full source. Worst case, you fork and keep running it yourself. You're never locked in. That's the whole point.
